Brothers in the Empire State, part 1.

This guest post is by Dave Tindell.

Do you have a "bucket list"? Chances are you do. The term might come from the 2007 movie starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, who play two men who are assigned to the same hospital room and discover that despite one of them being a billionaire and the other a car mechanic, they have much in common, including a desire to get out of the hospital and go places they've never seen, do things they've always wanted to to.
And so that's what they do.
A few years ago, I wrote a post on this blog about a trip I took with my youngest brother Brian to explore the Old West. For a week we drove through the Dakotas, Montana and Wyoming, riding horses and hiking the trails that once felt the tread of Theodore Roosevelt, George Armstrong Custer and many more colorful characters. This past summer, my middle brother Alan joined me on another trip, this one to the east, to see the sights of New York. Come along with us on our journey. You can join us here:
